About Us
The Halfway House Pub & Kitchen is a family run, local village pub based in the heart of Polbathic, serving quality real ales and wines from around the world. Set in the Cornish countryside along the river Lynher and a short distance from many beaches including Whitsand Bay and Seaton.
Here at the Halfway House our ethos is to exceed expectations.
We have roaring open fires during the cold winter months, a large, family friendly, beer garden which hosts our annual Ale, Cider & Pie Festival in the summer, and live bands all year round.
The Halfway House also has five letting rooms, a restaurant serving the finest fresh and locally sourced food, free Wi-Fi and dogs are welcome!
The Bar Side
In the bar, we have a wide range of local, as well as nationally recognised, brands of spirits, beers and real ales.
For more casual dining we have a selection of bar snacks and daily specials available without reservation.
Dogs, and well behaved owners, are always welcome in the bar, and Wi-Fi is free to our customers.
As well as selected sporting events, we also have a range of local live acts throughout the year.

The Restaurant
At the Halfway House Pub & Kitchen, we cater for large gatherings as well as intimate dining experiences. We offer an A La Carte menu, alongside daily specials and bar snacks. We produce everything in house, and proudly use local suppliers to deliver fresh, vibrant food, every day. Whenever possible we use home grown produce, from our own vegetable patch and herb garden.
We serve lunch between 12pm & 2.30pm and dinner from 6pm until 9pm.
On a Sunday, we extend our menu to include a traditional Sunday Roast with a contemporary twist- from 12pm until 7pm.
